Blood Donations

America is facing the largest blood shortage in history, however there is one large group that is being prohibited from participating in the life-saving activity of donating blood. The FDA currently restricts men who have sex with men (MSM), and women who are with men who’ve ever had sex with another man from donating. It’s absurd.

GreenRubino was looking to bring awareness to this issue that prevents an estimated 615,000 pints of blood from being donated every year.  June 14 is World Blood Donor Day, for this occasion we built a webpage (EndDonationDiscrimination.com) that educates people and encourages them to sign petitions aimed at the FDA to change their policy. I designed and illustrated attention-grabbing posters in hopes of pushing people to our webpage to learn more.
